Ali Akbar Zanganeh, a well-known Iranian entrepreneur, was born on April 2, 1959, in Torbat-e Jam County situated in the Khorasan Razavi province. He spent his early childhood in this city and completed his primary school education (up to fifth grade) there. Subsequently, his family relocated to Tehran, where he continued his studies at Eqbal School.
He enrolled in Tehran Technical High School in 1974 and chose civil engineering and construction as his major. Later, he was admitted to Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, one of the best universities in Iran. In 1985, he earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Due to his interest and talent in science, he pursued a master’s degree in management while working in construction and engineering contracting.
Dr. Zanganeh pursued his doctoral degree in earthquake and structure engineering at the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom, in collaboration with the University of Tehran. Upon completion of his studies, he returned to Iran and established the Pars Eram Technical and Economic Group, which comprises seven subsidiary companies active in the fields of construction, civil engineering, food and dairy industries, mining, agriculture, and livestock farming, both domestically and internationally.
Dr. Zanganeh has been serving as the head of the private sector commission at Iran Exisco organization since 2023. He has been working diligently to develop and maintain robust relationships with regional and international countries, with a particular focus on member countries of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), BRICS, and GIS.
